Trash: recover what was deleted — gull system handbook
The Trash in gull system: shared items and order records, 30 days, Restore, Delete, Empty trash, what happens when deleting offline.
Trash: recover what was deleted
Whatever you delete goes to the Trash for 30 days. Recovery is one click; generated files on disk are never deleted.
A delete anywhere in the app asks first: "…will be moved to the Trash. It stays there 30 days before it is deleted for good." The Trash is in the main menu.
Two trees
- Shared items. Configurators, input sources, output sources, workflows and the library — the same five folders as on the Server screen. Columns Deleted by, Deleted and Remaining ("30 days left", "Deleted today").
- Order records. Records from the Log, from this computer only, with the same countdown. Deleting a record never deletes the generated files.
Buttons
- Button: Restore - What it does: puts the item back where it came from
- Button: Delete - What it does: deletes the item for good, now
- Button: Empty trash - What it does: empties everything
Deleting a captured parameter in step 1 does not go through the Trash — the parameter and its rules are gone at once and for good. The same holds for a form field.
