Form styles — gull system handbook

Library → Styles: form background, field background, text colour and accent colour; picking a style in a form and what happens when a style is deleted.

Form styles

A style is a named set of form colours in the Library. A form picks one under Appearance → Style, or stays with the app's colours.

  1. Open Library → Styles and create a style. The Style name must be unique.
  2. Under Form colours set four colours. Form background, Field background, Text colour and Accent colour — the last one applies to sliders, checkboxes, switches and the Generate button.
  3. Save with the header's Save.
  4. In the form designer, on the Form root under Appearance → Style, pick the style instead of App colours.

A form whose style you delete falls back to the default colours. Nothing breaks, it just goes pale.

Individual elements have their own colours in the Appearance group (background, text colour, selection colour, buttons) — those take precedence over the style.
